Iceland

This was a wonderful opportunity for all of us to learn something new about Iceland that you can't find out on the internet and make new friends from another country. Those three days in Iceland plus two days travelling were amazing. Everyone in Iceland are friendly and when you walk past then they will say hello. One of my favorite places was Pingvellir National park
I am also grateful for the family who took us in. But exactly the little brother who did make evenings fun. And the sister who showed us around and told us more abot Iceland.

 Welcome to Latvia 馃嚤馃嚮!

Iceland❤馃彏

I don't think I can explain in words the amazing three days spent in Iceland. The people I got to know and beautiful places we went will always be my best memories as a teenager. I'm thankful for the family that took us and made us feel like home. Being that close to ocean and feel the cold wind made me appreciate the small moments in life. I definitely recommend the wonderful Reykjanes UNESCO Global Geopark, that place makes you realize why nature is so important. I hope everyone had an amazing time!❤馃寧

An unforgettable experience
I was one of the few very lucky students who could take part in the National Prides in a European Context program and due to that I had the chance to travel to Iceland. The whole trip was beyond my expections, I had a wonderful time in this magneficent country.
On the first day , our Hungarian team spent the whole day travelling to the destination. We had a really good time and we got close by the end of the trip, which I can tell about my host family as well. After the arrivement we had a little drive through in Keflavik and a delicious dinner.
The next day, was the programm’s first day, the Icelandic teachers and students organised us a warm welcome ceremony. We also had a look into the Fj枚lbrautask贸li Suournesja’s students every day life and visit various classes during the day. In the afternoon we were that lucky to meet the president of Iceland, a very humble and kind man. At the and of the day we visited a Planetarium , where we got to know Iceland’s historical and geographical side , through an interactive experience. From 8 o’clock the stundets had a fun night at one of Keflavik’s youth center.
On our third day we’ve spent our time outside in a National Park, walked by a non-active vulcano and ate between tomato plants. The best tomato soup I’ve ever had! Our day was fantastic!
Then came the worst part, our last day, before saying our heartbreaking goodbyes, we’ve spent a marvellous day in Rejkjavik. After looking around in the city , most of us went to by some souvenirs, Icelandic sweets or food and something for ourselves.
Our plane left quite early in the morning , so we didn’t have time to do anything on Saturday. Luckily we had a safe journey back home!
To summ up , it was a life-long experience for me and I’ve made some very nice international friends!

See you soon, Iceland!

This meeting has enabled all of us, students and teachers, to know firsthand the culture of our partners and the extreme beauty of Iceland. We have learned a lot about how much we have in common but also about how our differences are a source of cultural wealth. On the other hand, strong links have been established between schools, teaching staff and students, as shown in this picture of the emotional farewell between Icelandic and Spanish students just before leaving Iceland.

we had a great time in iceland!!, it was really nice. we met amazing people, we lived with natives, learning from differents cultures, we visited reikiavik and phingvellir among other things. It was an unique and unfforguetable experience. i would repeat it thousands of times.

MY EXPERIENCE IN ICELAND

Unbelievable experience, wonderful scenery and lovely people.

I wouldn't know how to express my feelings regarding to this trip.
First of all, I have discovered that Iceland has as many wonders of nature as you want to visit. I really enjoyed the view in Thingvellir National Park, the Kerid Crater and Gulfoss. However, I had never felt so cold before visiting those waterfalls! I am not at all used to those low temperatures. Despite the crazy weather, it was worth it.
Some other activities I liked were the visit to the president of Iceland, who was very close and kind; the meal we had at Fridheimar, a tomato greenhouse, and the walk tour around school. I must say that I was impressed with your highschool.

In addition, I am very pleased with my host family because they treated me so well. The very best thing of this trip is the people I have met and the wonderful time we spent laughing and playing together. I am looking forward to see you soon!

It is incredible all the knowledge you can acquire by knowing other cultures and travelling!!

The unforgettable Icalandic trip

To my surprise, I was the one of the five students, who travelled to Iceland because of the Erasmus project.I have never had before such an impressive 5 days in my life.
First of all, I have never flown and I have never been at an airport before this trip, so it was a huge pleasure for me and I loved it very much. The hosting family was simply unbelievable, and from the first moment I felt like I was at home. After the arrival, the "hosting girl"-Anna and I went to shopping and she showed me the town of Grindavik (where I lived).
On the next day, we spent the whole forenoon in the school. There was a welcome ceremony, a short introduction from the guests, and a walking tour around the school. We had lunch, as well. Then, we met with the President of Iceland, and that was very weird but it was also a lasting memory. After that, we went to Perlan and we had a fun night at the 88 House.
Thursday was my favourite day, because we had full schedule, so we visited the Thingvellir National Park, the Kerid crater, Skalholt, The Gulfoss, The Geysir and we had 2 fantastic meals on that day in a restaurant. As the way I see it, I saw the true face of Iceland on that day.
On Friday, we had so many programs, too. And when it was over, we had to go back to school because there was a farewell dinner.
On the next day, I had to say Goodbye to my hosting family and we agreed about we will see each other one day.
Without any doubt, I can say that was one of the best weeeks in my life.

Iceland馃樆

The trip to Iceland has been a wonderful experience. I can explain with words my feelings馃槣. Iceland is a beautiful country quite different from Spain; not only the weather but also the nature. I felt amazed when I saw all the natural areas we visited 馃樅. I learned a lot of culture. I enjoyed also spending time with the Icelandic people, they are so funny and charming馃樈. It was also new for us the way of living there: the timetables, food, weather... So it was like a challenge for us馃挭.

  1. I will always remember this unbelievable experience and the incredible people I met not only from Iceland but also from other countries, I feel so lucky to have this opportunity to get to know this part of the world and also to share te world that we have inside of us 馃樆
